How can I disable chat history logging?

MySpace IM provides a chat logging which keeps a local copy of all your chat conversations. This is very useful for keeping a track of all your chats, but is also a privacy and security concern for many users. This feature is turned on by default, but can be easily disabled as follows:

1. From the main MySpaceIM window click the File menu and select Preferences
2. From the Preferences window, click on the Message History tab
3. In the Message History section at the top, select the Do not save my IMs option
4. Press OK to confirm this change

Important Notes

Users concerned with privacy should note that disabling history logging will only stop MySpaceIM from saving a copy of the conversations on your computer, the friends with whom you are chatting may also save a copy of the conversation if they have not disabled history logging.

You should also be aware that disabling chat history logging does not delete previously saved chats, you need to delete them manually.
