Can I disable the message typing indicator?

The message typing indicator lets the person(s) you are chatting with know when you are typing a message or have entered some text and are no longer typing.

This feature can be a privacy concern for some users who wish to keep their typing activity anonymous. the good news is that MySpaceIM allows you to disable this feature, but is enabled by default.

To disable the text entry/typing indicator do the following:

1. Open the preferences window by clicking the File menu in the main MySpace IM window and selecting Preferences
2. Click on the Privacy tab on the left of the Preferences window
3. Uncheck the Indicate when I'm entering text option at the bottom of the window

Once disabled, other contacts will not be able to see or monitor your typing activities.
