A brief history of Messenger programs
Extra programs and add-ons have been around since the early days of MSN Messenger, when all sorts of addons (moving names, away messages, font color changers, etc), flooders, bombers and other annoyance tools were rampant. These tools are generally created for introducing extra functionality in Messenger or performing management tasks (like taking emoticon backups). They aim to add new possibilities to your Messenger experience.
